Boating holidays in Müritz & Mecklenburg

Berlin and Brandenburg river cruise

Müritz & Mecklenburg

The perfect boating holiday destination for nature lovers!

Cruise along the canals of northern Germany and the great lakes of Mecklenburg aboard your self drive boat. This is a cruising area of great natural beauty, ideal for bathing and a fisherman's paradise. The Fleesensee lake is one of the most beautiful regions in Germany. Lake Müritz is close by and home to many different birds. You will head west from Fürstenberg towards the great lakes of Mecklenburg. Your first port of call is likely to be the rococo castle at Rheinsberg. You need to be a little more careful when cruising in these vast, fast-flowing waters than when on a canal; but you will feel richly rewarded when laying anchor in the middle of a lake and diving into some of the purest water in Europe, surrounded by sublime and unspoilt scenery.

Berlin & Brandenburg river cruise

River Havel, Potsdam, Lake Wannsee, Spree, Lake Jungfernsee, Rüdersdorf, Oder.

Before heading to Berlin and its world-renowned 'Museum Island', make a detour aboard your self drive Pénichette® to visit stunning Potsdam and its famous Sans-Souci castle. To the south and east, canals, lakes and rivers flow into one another amidst a whole range of wonderful places to visit between the Spree and Oder, with some of the finest dining in Germany, such as at Bad Saarow. At the heart of Oberhavel and Ruppiner Land, sail across the lakes at Neuruppin or opt for the Woblitz river which meanders through the forest before flowing into the great Lychen lake: this is certainly one of the loveliest river boating itineraries in the area. The Havel is a long, tranquil river that basks in sparsely populated countryside.

Life to cruise by on a canal boat!

how much?

There are boats for all budgets: Price starts as low as 131 Euros / day for a traditional Penichette Classic 935 (2 to 5 persons). Our largest and most modern penichette 15.00 Flying bridge accommodating 8 to 12 people will cost 457 Euros / day in low season. A deposit of 40% is required to book and the balance is due 60 days prior departure.

which boat to choose?

Selecting the right boat is important to make sure you'll have a life time memory cruise. Don't get misled by the maximum number of passengers on board. It's good practice to limit the number of guests on board to the number of permanent berths in cabins and avoid using the convertible folding table as additional sleeping area. We know our boats well, we will help you selecting the perfect boat.

when to book?

It is essential to book well ahead of time to get the boat you want. We accept booking up to a year ahead of cruising. We look forward to welcoming you on board.
